On Friday 27 February 2015 the transformation wrought over the past few years at Pitlochry station was recognised by the unveiling of the plaque won at Merchant Taylors’ Hall in London on 3 December 2014 in that year’s National Railway Heritage Awards competition. Reflecting the involvement of a number of funding agencies in financing the work, the station won the Network Rail Partnership Award.
